Weightless

Weightless is a photographic series by Kayce Jensen, inspired by one of her favorite musical artists, NF. In his music and videos, NF often uses black balloons as symbols of trauma, burdens, and mental health struggles—a visual metaphor that deeply resonated with Jensen. As an homage to the positive impact NF has had on her life and art, Weightless features a woman carrying symbolic balloons that represent grief, stress, trauma, and emotional burdens. Though the balloons appear light, they carry immense weight. The series captures the slow, often painful journey of healing—where, over time, that weight can finally begin to lift, and the burdens become truly weightless.
